Welcome to a newphoto series, that will take us to the south-east of Europe and the south-western tip of Asia: Istanbul. My sister Jasmina made the trip recently and came back with lots of images of this, breathtakingly beautiful place. Even though I didn't make the photos in this series, after editing them for her, I thought that it would be a shame not to share them.

The days are getting warmer here and escaping the hot city, seems a more welcoming idea with each passing day. The local mountain slopes are always a fun place to be in and I actually never visited them during the golden hour.
I recently made the trip back up to shoot some more stills for my upcoming time lapse video, and in between the various time lapse set-ups I made these images. Escaping the summer heat is no easy task, but this fresh lemon sorbet might just help. It's full of lemon flavor, including zest and juice. You only need three ingredients to make it!
This sorbet is very smooth and intense with lemon flavor. If you have organic lemons then you are already at an advantage. If you use regular ones, first clean the lemon rind under hot water, and then Sexy Peoplehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14797307487717624091noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2585409601833108402.post-51299699678257542452015-12-29T05:01:00.000-08:002015-12-29T05:01:00.245-08:00Dusk over the City
Lately it seems, that the only time suitable for going out in Mostar is at dusk, when the city calms down and the heat slightly fades. I took these city images recently, on another outing for my upcoming time lapse video.
The first image is actually a frame out of the time lapse sequence, so you will soon be able to see the cars moving and lights flickering.

The sunset offers the best light for landscapes but portraits too. We went back to the local mountains above Mostar, and there I took these portraits and landscapes.
The sun was just escaping, but I think we still managed to get some of its heavy glow in the images. I hope you will enjoy them.

I hope that summer is off to a good start in your corners of the world (at least in the northern hemisphere). Recently I showed you the beaches and shores of the island Hvar in Croatia, and I wanted to stay a little bit longer on the Adriatic sea. In this new series, that is starting on Monday, I will be showing you the small town of Korcula, that is located on the same named island, a couple Sexy Peoplehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14797307487717624091noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2585409601833108402.post-13808613604905173522015-12-21T05:23:00.000-08:002015-12-21T05:23:00.339-08:00Visiting Korcula [Part 1/3]: Travel to the Island
It's time to venture out again. Welcome to a new summer photo series, that will take us to a very special island located in the Adriatic Sea named Korcula. The island is not very big, but it is still a very popular tourist destination. I have been visiting Korcula with my family since 1999 when I was still a kid, and have been back here several times as an adult.

In this second part of the Korcula travel series, we visit the old town of Korcula, which is actually the heart of the whole city. The old town is surrounded by walls, and the streets are arranged in a herringbone pattern allowing free circulation of air but protecting against strong winds. Many restaurants are located on the outer parts of the walls, and many old churches, museums and Sexy Peoplehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14797307487717624091noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2585409601833108402.post-84622246460214050222015-12-19T05:13:00.000-08:002015-12-19T05:13:00.625-08:00Visiting Korcula [Part 3/3]: Sunset Cruise around the Island
Come aboard, it's time for a sunset cruise! In this last part of the travel series to the island Korcula, I will show you some images I took while on a cruise around Korcula. As the sun was setting, the most glorious light punctured the buildings of the old town and the surroundings. Having a great vantage point from the ship, I took as many photos as I could. I hope you will enjoy them.

There are a few things that scream summer to me, and peaches are one of them. South of Mostar we have a small family orchard where fresh and organic peaches are grown, and every summer, the house (or I should say the refrigerator) is filled with piles and piles of peaches. That also means, that you have to be creative with them, otherwise they will go bad quickly.

I have said it before, I love moody weather for landscapes. Yes, a bright sunset is wonderful, but if you want atmosphere, moody is the way to go. And even though the day on which I took this sea images, was bright and sunny, once the wail of darkness started to swallow the surroundings, other sights greeted me.
