Photo day with Elly Lucas #2

It had been two years <a href="http://dismantlerepair-photo.blogspot.co.uk/2012/01/photo-day-with-elly-lucas.html" target="_blank">since Elly and I last met</a>, and even though we have always kept in touch regularly online another meet up was well overdue! So on a beautiful sunny day in February, despite a big nightmare with the trains on my end, we met on the edge of the Peak District for a nerdy afternoon together.<br /><br />I'd been struggling recently with my creativity and meeting up with Elly in this beautiful location was exactly what I needed to find my creative feet again. She was so patient as I composed my shots and as always was an absolute joy to photograph! Just a small post today, but I can't resist sharing these photos! Things are pretty crazy at the moment and I've not been finding a lot of time to get out and shoot personal work, but I'm working on changing that - promise. Working for myself can feel like a big juggling act at times, but now that I'm starting to feel I have a handle on it all I will be doing my best to incorporate personal work into the juggling too!<br /><br />Evie and I met up for a nerdy afternoon at the beginning of the month to photograph each other in the autumn leaves. Mini-photo day with Nicola Johnson

After attending a wedding Nicola was photographing and wishing we could chat all night, Nicola and I knew we had to book in a date ASAP to catch up properly and take pictures! That day was last Tuesday, and although we were only together for a few hours, we made sure to take pictures in the beautiful summer blooms.<br /><br /><img src="http://i1184.photobucket.com/albums/z338/dismantlerepair_storage2/_MG_0544_zps180ffae7.jpg" width="690" /><img src="http://i1184.photobucket.com/albums/z338/dismantlerepair_storage2/_MG_0429_zps2cba384d.jpg" width="690" /><br /><img src="http://i1184.photobucket.com/albums/z338/dismantlerepair_storage2/Untitled_Panorama1_zpsac8f01fb.jpg" width="690" /><br /><br />Nicola had just recently acquired one of my super-dream-lenses, the Canon 50mm f/1.2, so I had to use the opportunity to shoot with it. Snow 2013: part 2

<i>This is the second post of my two-part blog series on this year's snow photos.. if you've not seen part one yet and would like a look, check it out <a href="http://dismantlerepair-photo.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/snow2013pt1.html" target="_blank">here!</a></i><br /><br />At the beginning of the year, the lovely <a href="http://www.nicolajohnsonphotographer.com/" target="_blank">Nicola Johnson</a> asked me if I would shoot some portraits of her family, which to me was a big honour as she is a portrait photographer herself. As luck would have it, on the weekend of the shoot we had a beautiful snowfall which made for an exceptionally magical location!<br /><br />After shooting with her wonderful family, we managed to fit in a mini-photo day before we got too cold to move. Due to travel problems and short notice I don't really get the opportunity to shoot with other people when it snows, so it was particularly inspiring to be able to take photos of Nicola with the snow falling around us. Hyde Park meet up: photographers' picnic

On Saturday the long-awaited photographers' picnic in the park came, organised by the lovely Kitty Gallannaugh way back in January! Sadly Kitty was unable to make it, but I hope the crazy amounts of behind the scenes photos and video footage will make her feel like she was there ♥ <br /><br />First of all: <b>GROUP SHOT</b>! Photo day with Suzy Wimbourne

Back in February I met up with the lovely Suzy - we started talking on Flickr forever ago and when she told me she was coming down south to visit her family we absolutely had to fit a photo day in. Photo day with Elly Lucas

Just over two weeks ago I travelled up to Derby to meet the wonderful Elly Lucas for a photo day - my first shoot of 2012 too! Armed with bags full of clothes (and excitement!), we drove up to a location full of beautiful heather and scenery and spent hours nerding out and taking pictures.
