The furthest point of the coast houses a lighthouse. I love lighthouses and I had to take this first shot from the ferry as we were arriving.</div> <div style="text-align: justify;"> <br /></div> <div style="text-align: justify;"> <b>The Lighthouse is surrounded on three sides by the sea and surrounded by rugged, low, rocky coast, a few meters from the sea.</b> Lighthouse is an ideal place for those who want to enjoy the beautiful nature, clean water and peace away from the stress and crowds. It was built in 1889. Visiting Korcula [Part 1/3]: Travel to the Island

Welcome to a new summer photo series, that will take us to a very special island located in the Adriatic Sea named Korcula. </b>The island is not very big, but it is still a very popular tourist destination. From small bays, secluded villages and of course the main town that is named after the island itself: Korcula. We will be visiting this old town in the second part. It's the <b>St. Marco Cathedral. </b>It is built in Gothic-Renaissance style, and was completed in the 15th century at the place of another church from 13th century that was there before. It stands on the north of Korcula Town. On the North side of the tower, facing Peljesac Channel, there is Venetian coat of Arms of Governor Viaro and Doge Mocenigo. When the sun starts to set, people mostly leave the beaches, head into the hotels and apartments and start to get ready for dinner.
