Natural Bridge and Cedar Creek Trail in Virginia

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><div style="text-align: justify;"><b>One of the many things I saw and visited on my journey to the USA, back in 2005, was the Natural Bridge in Rockbridge County, Virginia.</b> It is a geological formation in which Cedar Creek (a small tributary of the James River) has carved out a gorge through the mountains, forming a natural arch 215 ft (66 m) high, with a span of 90 ft (27 m). It is thought the creek entered a cavern millions of years ago and, over time, eroded much of the underlying limestone rock to sculpt the Bridge. The trail is fairly flat, but does start to get a little uneven past the Monacan Village with slight hills (you will see the village at the end of this post). The Cedar Creek Trail is open daily from 9 in the morning until dark. Visiting Washington, D.C.: White House, Capitol and Monuments

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><div style="text-align: justify;"><b>I have been announcing my travel images from the United States for a while now, so I guess it's time to finally deliver them.</b> This was back in 2005, in a time where film photography was still at large, the idea of a fast internet connection a dream and mobile phones had a couple of years before becoming smart. It's interesting how things can change over the years. Revisiting these images was very strange for me. Somehow it seems unbelievable that 10 years have passed since then.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b>The whole trip was organized by Legacy International which is seated in West Virginia.</b> They hosted us and payed for our whole visit. I had to pass an exam in order to get into the Legacy International program, and eventually 15 of us were invited by the organization. During our visit we had a chance to go inside and get a private tour. Like the principal buildings of the executive and judicial branches, the Capitol is built in a distinctive neoclassical style and has a white exterior. I had often seen it on TV and in books, but coming up to the iron fence that surrounds the premise of the White House, had a surreal effect. I took this image with my camera and kept standing there, gazing onto the light dusting of snow that covered the grounds. It is a long and large rectangular pool located on the National Mall, directly east of the Lincoln Memorial. What I like about Washington D.C. is that all the major visiting spots are fairly close by, and you can take (as I did) a walk from the Capitol Building all the way to the reflecting pool and monuments. 5 Travel Experiences that Changed my Perspective on Life

Visiting the USA</b></h2>This might come as a surprise to my dear American readers, but I have actually visited the USA. I never wrote about it on my blog, simply because the images I took were not that presentable. But nonetheless, visiting the USA has hugely influenced my travels today. I was part of a Youth Legacy Leadership Program that was funded my the US Government, and they flew 15 students from Bosnia and Herzegovina to the USA. I associate this wonderful small island on the Adriatic Sea, with my first travels, post-war in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was at a time, that I still traveled with my whole family. Trondheim, Norway</b></h2><div style="text-align: left;">This was one of the first travels on which i went without people I knew before. I was still in high school when the offer to visit Norway with a group of other people came. I immediately said yes even though I was afraid of flying back then (still am a bit today). We stayed in a beautiful small hotel in Trondheim. I remember I had a room all by myself.
